About Edward
Edward has been in the landscape industry for over 20 years starting as a greenkeeper for the renowned Powerscourt Golf Club. It was at Powerscourt that attracted Edwards fascination with landscaping and after 5 years as a greenkeeper he felt he required a different challenge. Edward decided to pursue a career in Landscape Architecture as he always enjoyed art in school, while the appeal in creating Landscapes fascinated him. He enrolled in Senior College in Dun Laoghaire (Now The Blackrock Further Education Institute) and completed a Higher National Diploma in Landscape Design before attending the University of Gloucestershire where he attained an Undergraduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture.
Unfortunately due to the economic downturn on leaving University he pursued many different career paths. Despite all these different educational experiences being commendable, they could not replace his enthusiasm for Landscape Architecture. He returned to University to complete his Masters in Landscape Studies at University College Dublin.
Throughout his studies he has gained a vast knowledge including computer skills and proficiencies in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with also a good understanding of Geographic Information System (G.I.S )
His practical experience in the field of Landscape Architecture began with attaining a summer job within Dublin City Council, Parks Department. Here he gained valuable experience from experts in the field of Landscape Architecture from the design stage all the way through to the completion of the work. He has worked for Avondale Landscape designing and constructing many large scale and small gardens and also afterwards, he worked with L.C. Landscaping being lead designer, while also being project manager an all garden builds and constructing many gardens, which can be seen on this website.

He then took the opportunity to start up Roundwood Landscapes his own business to continue to provide vast skills and knowledge and aspiring to creating your ideal garden.
